Isabel was born at Melbourne, Australia. Her dad is Australian as is her mother who is Swiss. Her family came from Cairns, Australia. They resided in Cairns Australia. She attended school with Nina and other children from various cultures, including First Nations. Isabel lives within Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was involved in the drama since her school years. She went on to study drama at the Victorian College of Arts Queensland University of Technology and also has recently been studying the PEM method Perdekamp the Emotional Technique. Before 2002, she never ever auditioned. She auditioned for the part of Home and Away in 1988. Producers thought she wasn't appropriate for the role however they were pleasantly surprised that they created a brand new character to her Tasha. She starred for 3 years as her first TV role. She won a Logie Award for new popular talent for her performance. Isabel relocated in 2008 to Los Angeles. In 2009, her breakout performance was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
